The March of Time Committee, Papillon, is the largest Dali painting known to exist. The piece was commissioned by Wallace Laboratories, the inventors of the tranquilizer “Miltown” and is believed to have been created in the early 1950s as part of the media blitz around Miltown’s introduction. The artwork was also included in the extensive Dali exhibition in 1995 at Amsterdam’s Museum Beurs van Berlage.

To celebrate the unveiling of the March of Time Committee, Papillon, Martin Lawrence Galleries will host a fundraiser, The Art of Imagining, to benefit UMC’s Trauma and Burn Care Center, Nevada’s only Level I Trauma Center and the Silver State’s only Burn Care Center. The unveiling will be Saturday evening on July 19 at Las Vegas Flagship Gallery located at the The Forum Shops at Caesar’s. The event will feature live entertainment from Carson & Tess Henley in addition to other rare artworks from around the world.
