MURAL International Public Art Festival 2015: The complete programming from June 4th to 14th !

The MURAL International Public Art Festival starts on June 4th on the Saint-Laurent Boulevard in Montreal. Media representatives and members of the public are invited to enjoy the numerous activities until June 14th.

“With free access again this year to the pedestrian sites, MURAL festivities are spread over a total of eleven days rather than four and promise to exhilarate. 20 new murals will be created right before your eyes, which will bring the total count to 50 major pieces transforming the Main’s landscape and its surroundings since 2013.” announced André Bathalon, cofounder and spokesperson for the festival.

“MURAL is now one of the most important public art gatherings in the world. Taking place in the heart of the city, it is one of the first must-see events of the festival calendar bridging between the Grand Prix and Les FrancoFolies. This year, the enriched programming includes an art fair, musical performances, conferences, movies, workshops as well as a vast number of street activities and special events.” he followed.

The Saint-Laurent Boulevard will be closed off for the occasion to vehicular circulation between Sherbrooke Street and Mont-Royal Avenue. The festival namely receives financial support from the city of Montreal, The Société de développement du boulevard Saint-Laurent and the Plateau-Mont-Royal Borough.

The 2015 edition of MURAL International Public Art Festival will bring together world renowned visual artists from 8 countries, of which: Nychos (Austria), Curiot (Mexico), Jaz (Argentina), Faith47 (South Africa), Bicicleta Sem Freo (Brazil), Axel Void (Spain), 2Alas (United States), Elian (Argentina), and C-215 (France).

MURAL is also counting on the appearance by a number of major Montreal, Quebec and Canadian artists, of which: Xray, Earth Crusher, Monk.E, Astro, Melissa Del Pinto, MC Baldassari, Eric Clement, Benny Wilding, Jarus, Opire and 4-Tind.
