NordArt 2011 (Büdelsdorf, Germany)
NordArt 2011
Kunstwerk Carlshütte
4 June – 2 October 2011
The first NordArt took place in 1999, since then it has established itself as Northern Europe’s largest annual art exhibition.
The NordArt is a work of art in its own right and is designed as such each year.
More than 200 international artists, selected by a jury, present a comprehensive panorama of contemporary art.
Each individual work not only speaks for itself but also creates new perspectives when seen juxtaposed against the unique backdrop offered by the Carlshütte and the adjacent historical sculpture park.
NordArt is accompanied by concerts, readings, film presentations and other cultural events.
Exhibition area: 22,000 square metres in the former Carlshütte foundry; 400 sqm in the ACO Wagenremise coach house; 80,000 sqm historical park and links with public places in the town of Büdelsdorf.
