Tracey Emin at Château La Coste

Surrounded By You, an exhibition of paintings and sculptures by Tracey Emin, opens on 2 July at Château La Coste near Aix-en-Provence, France. The exhibition includes large bronze sculptures, twelve paintings from the past decade, and a new neon.

Fueled by her exploration of human emotions, partly inspired by her collaboration with Louise Bourgeois and recent exhibitions with the work of Egon Schiele and Francis Bacon, Tracey Emin has deepened her connection with painting and sculpture, producing a powerful body of work that is both contemporary and timeless.

Tracey Emin (London, 1963) studied at Maidstone College of Art and at the Royal College of Art, London. In 2007 she represented Britain at the Venice Biennale and since then has had important solo exhibitions at: National Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh (2008); Hayward Gallery, London (2011); Museum of Contemporary Art, Miami (2013); Tate Britain, London (2015); Leopold Museum, Vienna (2015).
