Patricia Fabian at A Mano Gallery
A Mano Gallery hosts Patricia Fabian for painting demonstrations during Shad Festival weekend, April 24 and 25. Situated in the former 5 & Dime at 42 North Union Street, A Mano’s Lambertville gallery will highlight the Hunterdon County artist’s new series of expressionistic floral works, as well as a sampling of her landscapes, beach scenes, urban environments and portraits.
“My latest work, entitled Room to Grow is a painting about love,” explains Fabian. “Just as sun brings forth the bloom so do the caring relationships in our lives bring out the best in us. This painting honors the people who give us the freedom to be unique and special in our own way.”
A Mano Gallery will showcase the original oil painting as well as limited edition prints and giclees signed by the artist. Mother’s Day cards featuring the painting will also be available for purchase. As Fabian says, “A mother’s love nurtures and lets us live the necessary lessons in life that give us the room to grow.”
Throughout the weekend, Fabian will be on-site painting bouquets of flowers. According to Ana Leyland, co-owner of the gallery, “Patricia’s flowers last a lifetime, making the perfect Mother’s Day gift. She encourages customers to bring arrangements from their gardens or photos of their mother’s favorite flowers to customize the work.”
Fabian’s work has always been inspired by her varied surroundings, from the seaside of her native Jersey Shore to the pastures and horse barns of Dallas, Texas. A recent series of paintings even focuses on her worldview riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle. A graduate of the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Fabian did post-graduate work at the Art League in Alexandria, Virginia. Her paintings have been featured at prestigious galleries across the United States. She currently lives in Tewksbury, New Jersey.
